Effects on your mind and body

Now ladies it's harsh to say, but one double is all that we should be having a day if we are going to drink. Obviously that isn't the case when we're going out though? Here's a step-by-step guide to alcohol and the effects it's having on your mind and body:

* 1 Double (About 2 units)
You start to feel more relaxed and confident. You become more talkative. Note you may even now be over the drink drive limit.

* 2 Doubles (About 4 units)
Your blood flow increases. You feel less reserved but your attention span shortens.
You start to feel dehydrated, which is one of the causes of a hangover.

* 3 Doubles (6 Units)
Your libido increases. Your reaction time becomes slower. Your liver starts working overtime.

* 4 Doubles (8 units)
You're easily confused. You're noticeably emotional and your libido decreases.

* 5 Doubles (10 units)
Your vision becomes blurred. You're 20 times more likely to have an accident if you drive. And all you wine drinkers you have downed the equivalent of four mars bars.

* 6 Doubles (12 units)
If you regularly drink this amount than you have an alcohol problem. Heavy drinking like this causes liver damage.

* 8 Doubles (16 units)
You'll find it hard to control what you say or do. You'll feel nauseous and you may be at risk of losing consciousness as you'll start to feel tired and sleepy.

* 9-10 Doubles or more (18+ units)
Strong likelihood of losing consciousness. You face and increased risk of heart attack. You're at risk of breathing suffocating and choking on your own vomit. You may also become incontinent.

The step by step units intake and the effects might sound familiar to a lot of you. I hope this knowledge gives better insight into alcohol units and helps you go about drinking a bit more wisely. I certaintly got a shock.
